This was a project that we completed at Humber College, 2019.
The objective was to make a short commercial for a brand or organization of your choice and use Photoshop or After Effects to compose the video. I chose the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) as it is an important organization in Canada that is responsible to promote mental health and to provide services to support those who are experiencing mental illness.
For this project, I made a research on the free copyright videos and audio that I could use to deliver my message and made a rough sketch of the main idea. I wanted to use animals in this commercial and let people see that sometimes how we pay attention to them is different from the way we do with people. I am a pet lover and know that sometimes we care too much about them. The truth is that we should also have the same attention and care for the people who are right beside us and that need our help.
