Project created during Humber College Program 2020
This was a team project with a client brief delivered by Target for a new Cannabis brand. Our objective was to create a name and an identity for a new consumer-facing brand, who in 2020 will be producing three product lines of high-quality cannabis made in Newfoundland.
The brand wants to bring craft quality cannabis to Newfoundland & Labrador community and consider something quintessentially from Newfoundland (culture, heritage, history) to their identity.
The idea was to use stars and constellations as the main theme. Newfoundland has many famous and beautiful sites for those interested in stargazing.

*My role was to design the logo, packaging and contribute with the App.
Logo Design and Packaging
For the logo, we made some sketches considering the stars and constellations theme. The packaging is round to stay within the main theme and resemble a planet. We also tried to put the logo with a black matte and let the colour of the strand stand out a bit more in the package.
Instagram Page
The Instagram page will appeal to our target by being creative, visually-stimulating, informative and patriotic in both its copy and design.
Dark sky App
The app will have the following features:
- Tells you what constellations are visible from where you are on GPS (it can also suggest restaurants, places to shop and places to stay)
- Click on the different constellations for more information on them
- Star history and Newfoundland facts
- Can tell you what constellations/stars your friends are looking at
- Camera filter that lets you take photos of the sky with the constellations
- System of badges accordingly to the number of different stars and costellations you viewed
